Work experience
Christoph studied polymer chemistry at the University of Freiburg/Breisgau and the FMF (Freiburg Materials Research Center). After obtaining his PhD from TU Dortmund and a patent manager degree from TU Ilmenau, he worked in the R&D department of a world-leading medical device manufacturer.
Christoph is passionate about the chemistry and physics of surfaces, high-performance hybrid materials and product-driven patenting strategies. Being a computer enthusiast, he is responsible for our license and patent database.
Christoph joined ETH transfer in June 2017 as a Technology and Licensing Manager and became a Spin-off Licensing manager in January 2023. Christoph is a member of the swiTT (Swiss Technology Transfer Association) and ASTP (Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals).
